Handmade Cedar Raised Bed Planter - Oil stained (24"x48"x36")
Keep Your Cedar Looking Beautiful Year After Year
You've invested in a quality raised bed. Why let it fade to gray? Our handmade oil-stained cedar planter combines stunning good looks with the durability your garden deserves. Rich, warm stain brings out the natural beauty of solid cedar while protecting it from weathering-so your garden bed stays as gorgeous as the day you planted it.
Built for Real Gardeners (Not Instagram)
This isn't a flat-pack from a big box store. Every planter is hand-built in my New Berlin, Wisconsin workshop using premium cedar and exterior-grade materials. I build them on the same jig for perfect consistency, reinforce them with six sturdy legs, and finish each one with care. The result? A planter that lasts years, not a few seasons.
The Perfect Height for a Painless Garden
At 36 inches tall with 11.5 inches of planting depth, this is the sweet spot for serious gardeners and anyone who wants to enjoy gardening without the back strain. No more bending close to the ground. Plant, weed, and harvest at a comfortable working height. The 24"x48" footprint fits standard garden spaces and is perfect for square-foot gardening or intensive vegetable production.
What's Included
Handmade cedar construction -Sustainably sourced cedar resists rot and weather naturally
Rich oil stain finish - Enhances the wood grain and keeps cedar from turning gray (re-stain every 4 years to maintain)
Extra-tall design - 36" height reduces back strain during planting, weeding, and harvesting
Built to last - Durable joinery, exterior-grade glue and screws mean years without replacement
Six-leg base - Distributes weight evenly and prevents sagging
Perfect for vegetables, herbs, and flowers - 11-1/2 inch depth is Ideal planting depth for root vegetables, herbs, and perennials
Why Oil Stain?
Cedar's natural beauty fades to silver-gray over time-which some love, but many don't. Our oil stain soaks into the wood fibers, bringing out rich, warm tones while providing a protective layer. It's the difference between a planter that looks fresh year after year and one that looks weathered after one season. You get the best of both worlds: natural cedar durability plus a rich color to bring out the beauty of the cedar.
Who This Is For
Home vegetable gardeners who want quality without constant maintenance
Seniors and gardeners with mobility concerns who benefit from elevated, comfortable working height
Design-conscious gardeners who want their garden to look intentional and beautiful
Anyone who's tired of replacing planters and wants something built to last
Soil & Planting Tips
Each planter holds 7.5 cubic feet of soil-you'll need five bags of Miracle-Gro Raised Bed Soil (available at Menards or Home Depot). Skip the liner and regular dirt; quality soil makes the difference.

Why Choose Handmade?
When you order from a craftsperson instead of a factory, you're not just buying a product-you're investing in quality you can feel and see. Every planter gets personal attention. If something needs adjusting, you can talk to the person who built it. That kind of care shows.
